Jordan Williams
Jordan is a bright, dedicated, charismatic 17 year old from Tavistock in Devon. Since the age of 8 he has been competing in motor racing and is now at a stage where he could break onto the scene of world Motorsport in a big way. After huge success at every level of racing he has been in, Jordan has built up a tremendous reputation, and has been praised for his smooth and quick racing style. As well as the racing, Jordan is a keen student and balancing school and racing throughout his life has been an added pressure. But by putting in the time to catch up any work he misses when he is away racing, Jordan achieved a fantastic set off GCSE's results in the summer. Gaining 8 A stars, and 4's he proved that with effort, a racing career can be afforded whilst still at school. Now into A level, Jordan studies Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Further Mathematics and History.
Racing History - Junior Ginetta 2006
In 2006 Jordan had his first year in cars at the age of 15 in the Junior Ginetta British Championship. The series founded in 2005 was designed to allow young drivers coming straight out of kart racing to get into cars at an early age. The British built Ginetta cars, were identical and the 16 drivers in the championship all had an equal starting block. The Ginetta Junior GT Championship in 2006 was sponsored by Playstation and raced in the Dunlop Great and British series as well as racing alongside F3 and GT at some events.

Jordan had a fantastic season and finished the championship in his debut year in 2nd position. Only losing the championship by 9 points due to one non finish, an accident caused by another competitor at Croft at the penultimate round of the year. Jordan absolutely dominated the 2nd half of the series winning at Silverstone, Croft and Thruxton. Jordan's performance was very highly regarded by many and he was voted the best ever Junior Ginetta Driver! With 10 podiums, 4 of which wins, out of 12 races it is clear to see why!

The series was a great starting point for Jordan and taught him the basics of car to car racing combat as well as also allowing him to experience racing on some of the UK's best circuits. Jordan competed against a very famous name in the 2006 Ginetta Season, Henry Surtees, son of the Great John Surtees, the only man to win the World Championship on two wheels and four. A rivalry that he continued into the 2007 season in the Formula BMW UK Championship.
2007 - Formula BMW UK - A Podium Year
Jordan's first year in single seater racing has been thwarted by bad luck but has still been a tremendously positive year in expanding Jordan's already glowing reputation. Although the results this year were not as fantastic as expected, Jordan has showed tremendous pace throughout the year and threatened for many outright wins only to be denied by factors out of his control. Coming into the 2007 season with hardly any pre season testing Jordan shone and made many people within the paddock sit up and take notice of his smooth style and outright speed. The season finished on a high, with Jordan scoring his maiden podium at the Knockhill circuit in Scotland. From a problem blighted qualifying session Jordan started the race from 14th on the grid, but produced one of the performances of the season to finish the race in a fantastic 3rd position. Gaining a podium in his debut season, one of only 3 drivers in the championship to do so, Jordan has proved that natural speed can convert into fantastic results.
Formula BMW World Final 2007
The final action for the 2007 season the World Formula BMW Championship, November 24-26th, this was held at the Circuit de la Comunitat Valenciana Ricardo Tormo, in Valencia. The event was a fantastic 4 day experience that was the culmination of the years Formula BMW Championships from around the world, UK, Germany, USA and Asia. There was a lot of publicity surrounding this event, as the winner will now receive a F1 BMW test as well as huge prize monies. The weekend was attended by the Formula 1 BMW team with Drivers Nick Heidfield and Sebastian Vettel and personnel including BMW's Motorsport Chief Mario Theissen. Jordan once again proved himself amongst the most competitive of fields. After a poor car setup and lack of pace in the qualifying session and qualifying heats, Jordan had a massive amount of work to do in the World Final. Starting from 22nd on the grid in the ultra completive multinational 36
driver field, Jordan drove one of the races of his life with a notably improved car, to finish incredibly inside the top ten in 9th position. Recording the fastest time of the British and indeed the UK series drivers, as well as setting the 4th fastest lap overall, Jordan felt that without the bad luck and if he had started inside the top ten, he would definitely have been pushing for a podium.
